    Overview
The AC-332 is an optional analog daughterboard which provides A/D and D/A capability for the CP-320, CP-332, MP-11, and MP-196 single board computers. Daughterboard resources include an autocalibrating 4 channel, 12-bit A/D converter, and dual monolithic 12-bit multiplying D/A converter.

The AC-332 measures 4.5 by 5.5 inches. A 40 pin male header on the board connects to a female counterpart on the target board. The AC-332 is mechanically secured to the target board with mounting hardware. Additional connectors on the AC-332 allow analog inputs, outputs and supply lines to be tied to the board.

A/D Converter
The board includes an ADS7832BP A/D converter. This is an autocalibrating, 4-channel, 12-bit A/D with internal sample/hold, and 8.5 usec conversion time. Circuitry for each analog input is provided on the board for either low or high source impedances. For low source impedances (< 5K Ohm), a passive low-pass filter is available. For high source impedances (>= 5K Ohm), the AC-332 contains circuitry which implements an active low-pass filter.

D/A Converter
A DAC7801LP D/A converter is available on the board. This is a dual monolithic CMOS 12-bit multiplying digital-to-analog converter. Each D/A converter has circuitry which configures it in a typical unipolar ( two-quadrant ) multiplying configuration with gain trim. Jumper options allow users to change the D/A output configuration.

Prototyping Area
A 2 by .75 inch prototyping area is available for adding custom user circuitry. This area contains 148 holes placed on a .1 inch grid.

Power Requirements
The AC-332 requires +5 Volts Digital (regulated) at 25 ma (maximum), +5 Volts Analog (regulated) at 25 ms (maximum), +12 Volts Analog (regulated) at 150 ma (maximum), and -12 Volts (regulated) at 150 ma (maximum).
