    Overview
The DIGI-DAC is an optional motion control daughterboard which provides D/A and Digital I/O capability for the CP-320, CP-332, MP-11, and MP-196 single board computers. Daughterboard resources include 24 Digital I/O lines, and 6 DAC outputs. The board's DACs offer 12 bits of resolution and can be configured for either unipolar or bipolar operation.

The DIGI-DAC measures 4.5 by 5.5 inches. A 40 pin male header on the board connects to a female counterpart on the target board. The DIGI-DAC is mechanically secured to the target board with mounting hardware. Additional connectors on the DIGI-DAC allow digital lines, analog outputs, and supply lines to be tied to the board.

Digital I/O
An 82C55 provides 24 digital I/O lines on the board. These are TTL compatible. The board is designed to support basic I/O operations, as well as strobed I/O. On-board jumpers allow the 82C55 to optionally interrupt the CPU on the target processor card.

DAC Outputs
The board's DAC outputs are derived from three DAC2815 chips. Each DAC2815 is a dual, 12-bit digital-to-analog converter. Jumper options on the board allow each pair to be configured as unipolar (0 to +10 Volts), unipolar (0 to -10 Volts), or bipolar (-10 to +10 Volts).

Prototyping
A 2.5 by 1.5 inch prototyping area is available for adding custom user circuitry. This area contains 337 holes placed on a .1 inch grid.

Power Requirements
The DIGI-DAC requires +5 Volts Digital (regulated) at 50 ma (maximum), +15 Volts Analog (regulated) at 150 ma (maximum), and +15 Volts Analog (regulated) at 150 ma (maximum).
